After about 5 minutes of sitting on the toilet, Aubrey went pee-pee on the potty! Wohoo!

Me: You, do?

Makayla: Yes, I really do!

Me: You have have to pray and ask Jesus into your heart.

Makayla: Jesus, come live in my heart, please.

Me: Repeat after me sweetie...I believe in you Jesus

Makayla: I believe in you Jesus

Me: Amen

Makayla: Amen!

Me: Good job honey, now Jesus will always be with you

Makayla: that is so special, mommy

Me: you are so special and you are even more beautiful because you have Jesus

Makayla: really mommy....

Me: yes sweetie

Words cannot express how my heart swelled with this random conversation...Lord your timing is always perfect. Help us to continue to foster her relationship with You and help us to be your hands in raising her to be Christ like in all that she does.

The Almost Sleep Over...

The day started out great, the girls played wonderfully together....even made their own pizza's for dinner, took baths, read books, told funny stories, played in their own beds till about 9 pm...when I said one last story girls and then it's bed time....and that's when it all came crashing to an end. Sweet Madeline was just not ready to stay the night, she missed her mommy and daddy....and my sweet Makayla could not understand why Madeline could not just sleep at our house for the night. Both girls were crying...2 different reasons, both equally passionate....two soul mate friends....forever

"Noooo!"

I wanted to capture Aubrey's outbursts on film...because I am hoping that this phase is coming to an end....please Lord let it end....

"Totty"

Before going to bed I asked the girls if they wanted a little "nakey time" of course they responded with a very loud YES! Makayla stripped down...I helped Aubrey undress, when I told her "if you have to go potty, tell mommy."

"Ok" she says and heads for the big toilet, lifting a little leg to climb up...

"hold on Aubs, let mommy get the little potty out for you."

"ok, totty..."

"here you go Aubs, here's your potty."

"Ok, totty!"

She sits down and low and behold....she goes pee pee on the potty!

Yeah Aubrey....Makayla and I proceed to do the "pee pee on the potty song and dance" while Aubrey looks at us and smiles!

For three days she went pee on the totty....

Curlers

It's been awhile since I've put sponge curlers in Makayla's hair...so after small group Sunday night Makayla asked...and I said, sure. Only this time Aubrey wanted in on the action...pointing to her head and asking for a "hat" like her sister....of course Aubrey did not sleep in hers, but she let me put them back in her hair in the morning....the result....both of my girls had curly princess hair! Too cute!

Outside!

This past week we have spent a lot of time outside...the girls get to run around and play and I get to sit and soak up some sun....everyone is happy, and everyone sleeps good at bedtime! It so nice now that Aubrey can climb and go down the slide...all by herself I might add...the girls have so much fun together...hope you enjoy the photo slide show!

22 Months Old!

Can't believe that you are almost 2! Here is what you're loving to do:

• Jumping, both feet actually make it off the ground at the same time
• Using a spoon or a fork (making progress, FINALLY)
• Singing to your babies
• Playing princess dolls with sister
• Lots of smiles
