We just went in to check on the girls before going to bed and this is what we saw...Aubrey using Sleeping Beauty as a pillow, and...
Makayla snuggling 6 stuffed animals (one of them is a LARGE duck)! Good night, sleep tight!

VBS!

Ready for VBS

I must say it has been "interesting" trying to get out of the house on time everyday this week for VBS...the girls have done really well and Makayla seems to really be enjoying herself and Aubrey does great in the nursery for 3 hours...so off we go for day number 4!

Sleeping Angel

Here comes the bride...

Makayla LOVES anything dress up...so of course her fascination with my wedding dress comes as no surprise. Daddy finally took the box down and we helped her dress in my gown which is almost 12 years old (yikes! where has the time gone?). She loved all of the sparkle and the fact that it covered her toes. It was not long before she grew frustrated with her inability to walk and do twirls. So after some convincing we decided that my hoop skirt made the perfect wedding dress...hard to believe that someday we will be giving our baby girl away....

Tea for 3...

Makayla and I were trying to have a tea party when little Aubrey decided to join in on the action....of course whatever her sister has she wants :)


"Bubble gum anyone?"

Bath Time!

"Excuse me mommy...we need to go...."

After a wonderful dinner with Jamen and the girls and some bubble gum ice cream to wash it down (note Makayla's blue face ;) we went home to get the girls ready for bed but not before Makayla could find the Massey's stroller (still can't get rid of it Katie....). Jamen buckled Aubrey in for a ride and Makayla LOVED it...she immediately switched into "mommy mode" and began pushing her around our front yard

God Morning!

Jamen and I like to say "God Morning" instead of "good morning" it kind of helps us to remember who the day belongs to. So after a wonderful nights rest and an opportunity to sleep in (Makayla didn't wake me up until 8 and Aubrey woke up at 9) I am refreshed and ready to tackle the day. Today is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it! Whatever unfolds today I pray that it will be a God filled day!

Makayla started back in tap and ballet today and as you can tell from the picture she is all smiles! Our girl was born to perform...

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to the most amazing daddy ever! Our girls are so blessed to have you as the man in their life. Words cannot express how much I appreciate you...you are never too tired to lend a helping hand or to come in for relief management :) You are always happy to see us and our favorite part of the day is when you come home from work. We love you with all of our hearts!

Batter UP...

For the first time we were actually able to make Jamen's softball game. Makayla was so excited to watch her daddy play. Without any instruction she began cheering for her daddy with every ounce of excitement that she had...I think my girl might be a natural cheerleader!

Jump For Joy!

I had a "light bulb moment" today! Instead of struggling and trying to deal with the grouchies, why not let the girls go outside and play and jump their (and my) grouchies away. I know most of you have already figured this out, and many of you have even suggested that it is good to get the girls outside....but I do not enjoy being outside amongst the bugs, snakes, and bears (oh my!). However for sanity sake I think we will be leaving our bounce house out for just these occasions! Makayla and Aubrey both love to be outside, and bouncing and climbing in the bounce house is just what the momma ordered ;)

Mommy's Little Helper

Makayla's new favorite thing...holding her sister. She will say to Aubrey, "Come here, I'll hold you, it's OK." My heart just melts at how sweet their sisterhood is becoming.

It is SO much fun to dress my girls in matching clothes...Makayla loves to look like her sister, she always says "I look kind sister!"Of course trying to capture this moment...is...well...I think the pictures speak for themselves!

"I'm not tired"

After laying Aubrey down for her nap I suggested that Makayla go have some quiet time in her room. She replied with "I'm not tired", I just looked at her and she slowly made her way to her room. After 15 minutes I could hear her sucking her fingers from the office. When I went to check on her this is what I saw...

Nana & Papa

A trip to Bishop to visit my Nana & Papa. We all had a wonderful time visiting and watching my grandparents take in the love of our two little girls!

Can't believe that my one year old just climbed up onto the chair! Boy am I in trouble :)
