5 Yougurts!

After Makayla ate her lunch, she said "I'm still hungry", not shocking since she seems to be going through a growth spurt again. So I tell her "have one more yougurt."

"Ok mom"

I go back upstairs to download more music on our new ipod...at which point I decide to go downstairs to do another short workout with my new tunes today...only to find Makayla carring not one, but 5 yougurt containers!!!

I guess she REALLY was hungry!

That's what I get for leaving my almost 4 year old unsupervised.....

I just love how sweet my two girls are together....Aubrey just LOVES her big sister and wants to do everything just like her. And Makayla is pretty patient with her and tolerates her very well...like tonight for example. The step stool is not big enough for the both of them (according to Makayla), but she did it anyways, and the look on Aubrey's face just couldn't be cutter!

Isn't She Cute?

A quick picture with the whole outfit, headband included...of course she didn't wear it after the picture, but she still looked pretty cute! Aubrey received this outfit from my dad and step-mom for her first birthday and this is the first time that she has worn it....she is such a tiny thing ;) Oh and she loves to stand on the step stool in the bathroom, making faces at herself while she "brushes" her teeth...she totally thinks that she is a BIG girl!

Miss Innocent?

Look at those big brown eyes, her angelic little face....doesn't she look so sweet? Innocent? Like she behaves all the time?

Well she was only in time out 3 times today...not bad, but not good either.

She is diffidently asserting her independence and when something, or anything is not going her way she breaks out in a full on scream with legs kicking (if she's thrown herself onto the floor), or stomping (if she's still standing).

Where did my sweet baby girl go?

Lord please help me to raise this little girl in your likeness...I'm going to need lots of help in the patience and grace department. I'm counting on you Lord because I can't do this on my own.

Aubrey's new favorite thing to do (I know, I know, everyday she has a "new" favorite thing to do) is to slide on her bottom down the stairs....I just love her little face!

6 Month Check Up

Today marks the 6 month point since Aubrey's last visit after her surgery. I can not believe that 6 months have flown by so quickly....I remember when all of the issues began surrounding the lump on her throat and it felt like the road to complete recovery would never come. And here we are 6 months later and Aubrey is completely healed and doing wonderfully. There has been no sign of the lump returning and her scar is healing beautifully. Dr. Geller was very pleased with how she looked today and said that within a year if nothing else has happened we "should" be in the clear. He is 99% positive that he got everything. Jamen and I are praising God today for delivering our daughter into complete recovery. The beginning of the year was such an emotional roller coaster....God used that time to refine our faith and trust in Him. Thank you Lord for healing our baby and for leading us to the most wonderful doctor. All praise and honor and glory belong to You forever! Amen!

Happy Birthday Preston & Collin

A fun birthday celebration with our sweet friends the Masseys! So hard to believe that the boys are now 5 and 2...where has the time gone? The girls had a blast...Makayla loved petting the bunnies (and even said she wanted one for a pet this morning) and Aubrey kept pointing to the ducks saying "quack, quack", the pony rides were a hit and there was lots of laughter and yummy food!

Sleeping Beauty

Makayla's imagination is growing...she loves pretending that she is a princess! Everything about her changes...she walks gracefully and bows and curtsies to me, calling me the queen and asking for her prince (daddy) and Aubrey even becomes a baby princess too...it's so much fun to watch!

Big Princess Hair!

I have discovered a way to make Makayla's hair just as big as a princess....she slept in little tightly wound buns and when I took them out in the morning, this is what we had....needless to say she LOVED it!

Laughter Is The Best Medicine

After a rough evening with Aubrey (the fit throwing is through the roof!) I awoke to the sound of wonderful giggles...of course the giggles were not coming as freely after I went downstairs to grab my camera, but nonetheless it reminded me of God's mercies which are fresh and new every morning! Thank you Lord!

17 Months Old!

"Good Morning Sweetie" waking up from a nap....

• When you wake up in the morning or from a nap the first thing you say is "baby" and you reach down to gather your babies before we lift you out of your crib.
• You now sleep with at least two of your baby dolls every night.
• You have discovered how to voice your frustration with the most awful "screaching" sound.
• You love to brush your teeth with your sister's princess toothbrush (Makayla now has a new one).
• Wearing backpacks
• Pushing multiple babies in the stroller....is this a sign as to how many children you will have??
• Bams (the sign for I love you with the sound effect of "BAM")
• Lots of smiles and love for us.
• Your getting a sense of humor and will do things just to make us laugh.
• Climbing, Climbing, Climbing...
• Throwing your diapers away in the trash (you just look so proud of yourself every time!)

Silly Girls!

We had a GREAT day today! The whining was minimal, so were the grouchies, Aubrey only had a couple of fits today, and Makayla was an excellent listener! Here are some pictures of the girls getting their grove on....Thanks for all of the prayers!
