Aloha!

Well we have survived the crazed packing game and we are ready to go! Our flight is scheduled to leave at 11:30 this morning and we should arrive in Hawaii by 1:30 in the afternoon. Praying that the flight goes well and that our little Aubrey will be content with being still for 5 hours...yikes! Makayla is so excited to go to Hawaii and see her friends! And Jamen and I are looking forward to creating some wonderful family memories! Aloha!!!!

Your First Slumber Party

We are extremely blessed with amazing friends, thank you so much Christian and Nathan for keeping Makayla overnight so we could attend Bob's funeral. You made our day so much easier knowing that our baby girl was in such good hands. We love you guys!

Mima-Grandpa!

"Mima-Grandpa! Mima-Grandpa! Mima-Grandpa!" They instantly become one person every time we tell Makayla that they are coming for a visit. Both girls love them so much and the special bond that they share is priceless!

Play time with Daddy

One of my favorite things about Sunday morning is watching Jamen play with our girls. He picks them up and runs around the house with them, they fly like airplanes and soar like eagles all with BIG smiles on their faces. Aubrey now wants in on the action and raises her arms for her daddy to pick her up...just so sweet!

All clean and all smiles and ready for bed!

Sweet Girls

Makayla was waiting patiently for a kiss, and as soon as Aubrey saw the camera....she flashed her new "cheesy" smile. Gotta love it!

Some days we just can't make it through without a little rest....

My New Hiding Place...

Trying to get the house ready for small group Sunday night...I left the pantry open and Aubrey climbed right in, making herself right at home ;) while she emptied out the baskets I was able to clean up the kitchen...

Fun In The Sun

Makayla was SO excited when Ella came for a visit. They all had so much fun playing outside in the water, Aubrey even got in on the action...she's so funny, she totally thinks that she is a BIG girl too!

"Boing"

A fun game Makayla and her daddy like to play is "boinging" up the stairs...what Makayla doesn't know is that is her daddy's way of getting her upstairs to take a nap...works like a charm every time :)

15 Months Old

Where has the time gone....you are just so much fun Aubrey Renae, so full of life, spirit, spunk, and smiles! Everyday you are doing something new: when you put on a dress you do a spin (just like your big sister), you now say, "wawa" (water), puppy, sister, "ayla" (Makayla), bye-bye, you sign milk, more, please, dog....and you climb on absolutely EVERYTHING earning you the nickname "monkey" Happy 15 month birthday baby girl!

My climbing girl....

So hard to discipline when she looks so gosh darn cute (and oh so proud) standing on things she shouldn't be....

A Date With Daddy

Makayla just left for her first official date with her daddy! They are going to have dinner and some ballroom dancing lessons at our church. Jamen is not to thrilled with the dancing part, but is still going so he can have quality time with his girl.

Makayla has been talking about her date all day today, it has been so sweet to see her excitement. She kept reassuring me that she would come home later (just like I do when I leave, to sweet for words).

I am so blessed to have a husband who is willing to date our daughter, on some level healing is taking place...I never had a chance to date my father and I am so thankful that will not be either one of my girls experience.

The first of many more to come....
