So You Think You Can Dance!

For Mima's 60th Birthday present, we got her tickets to So You Think You Can Dance! We had so much fun watching all of the dancers live, a special treat for Mima to go with Makayla to her first concert type event! Precious memories!

Aubrey's new words/signs

"I'm not sucking my fingers anymore!"

So Jamen and I have had the discussion as to how and when we were going to break Makayla of sucking her fingers when she's tired....thanks to Megan, she made our job supper easy! While in Hawaii Megan told Makayla that if she quit sucking her fingers and her "bumpies" went away she could come over and pick a doll and dress to play with. Makayla said OK and that was then end of the finger sucking! So if anyone is in need of breaking a thumb/finger sucking habit I highly recommend going to Hawaii with your friends and having their child do the "dirty" work for you! Thanks Megs!

"Ribbit, Ribbit!"

3 1/2 hour nap!

Hate to wake a sleeping baby....but after 3 1/2 hours I decided I'd better do so if I want her to go to bed at a decent time tonight.

"Good Morning!"

Nap Time????

So we left Arcadia after picking Makayla up from Fast Trac Kids and Aubrey crashed. Half hour later we are home eating lunch, so by 2 I take Aubrey upstairs for her nap. I put a movie on for Makayla and I settle in on the couch for some rest....Aubrey talked and played till about 4 when she started getting fussy, it finally got quiet...and I walk in her room and I see her sound asleep with no shirt on, her socks are off (she wanted them on before her nap) and her room smells aweful! I am amazed that my 16 month old did this all on her own....well not the pooping part ;)

Disneyland!

After a 5 month break, we headed down to the "happiest" place on earth. Jamen had a class in Anaheim so we thought it would be fun to spend some family time at Disneyland. So the girls and I packed our dinner and headed down....we had a great time, it was hardly busy...we were able to go on 7 rides in 3 short hours (this has never been my expereince before) and I was able to go on Space Mountain and Star Tours while Jamen stayed and watched the parade with our girls...what a man!

Busy Girl!

This is Aubrey's new favorite thing to do, wear a backpack, carry a backpack, with a purse, while pushing her baby! Love it!!

Nothing like a sleeping baby!

Sisterly Love

Aubrey and I took Makayla to school today and decided to wait around for her since it was only 1 hour today. Little Aubrey kept trying to walk up to her classroom, she would point to the walk way and say "sista".....just so sweet!

So finally when the hour was up, Aubrey ran up to her sister and waited with arms wide open for some luvies. It took Makayla a couple of seconds to notice us as she was "reading" her papers from school....when she did see us they gave each other such a huge hug....my heart just melted!

First Day of School

Makayla was super excited for her first day of preschool today! Jamen even left work for the big day, and as you can see she was all smiles. We walked her into class, gave her a kiss and off she went with a "by mom & dad" she didn't even think twice....she was equally excited when we picked her up an hour later. So hard to believe that our baby girl is now turning into a little girl....(sigh....)

Check out that cheesy smile!

Alooooohhhhhhaaaaa!

We made it! And and I say that we great joy....here is what happened after we left the house. Right before we got on the 105 Jamen asked me if I had my i.d.....um.....nope! "Your kidding right?" "No I'm not joking I don't have it." PANIC, PANIC, PANIC!

Thankfully my brother-in-law suggested that we call my parents and have then go back to the house and get my wallet and meet us at LAX. They did, God Bless them!

We arrive at the counter to check in our luggage right when we should be boarding our plane. I beg and plead and demand to speak with the agents manager so that we can be let on our flight. He gives us the ok and we take off towards security, where I have to ask everyone if we can go in front of the because we are LATE!

Long story short, we make it on the plane (sweating), at least I got my workout that day :)

The flight went as good as it could. Makayla did great, Aubrey not so great, but good enough.

We arrive in Hawaii, along with our carseats, but our stroller and suitcase came in on the next flight 2 hours later.....a rough start to our vacation, but at least we made it!

As we were driving to where we are staying there is a beautiful rainbow over the lush green mountains, I sigh and thank God for His faithful promises, aloha!
