My Sweet Makayla

You are such a delight Makayla Lauryn...and it is so hard to believe that you are not a little baby anymore but a rather "big" little girl. You are so full of life and imagination and you bring SO much joy to our lives! You are passionate and full of energy and overflowing with lots of drama (I guess you come by it naturally :)) You spend the majority of your days changing into different princesses complete with all the accessories...You love to help me with cleaning, baking, and folding laundry and for the most part you are pretty compliant with helping clean up your toys. I delight in you my sweet treasure from God!

NNNNNNNNNNNooooooooooooooo!!!

All I hear all day and every day is "NNNNNNoooooooo!" from my little sweet Aubrey. Her voice when she says this contains SO much attitude for such a little girl...I have no idea where this comes from??? Oh wait....maybe I do....it seems that Aubrey has taken a liking to copying her sister's every word and "no" is way up on the list of favorites!

It does not matter what is going on, where we are in the house, who she is with...this lovely two letter word is heard clearly "Nnnnoooo!" I'm trying to role with the punches but this phase could end any day now and I would be perfectly fine with it.

I Just LOVE This Girl!

Colorado

We had a wonderful trip to Grand Junction Colorado! Yeah!!! I think not going in with high expectations of a stress free trip made the world of difference for me. The first leg of our plane ride was a bit challenging, since Aubrey was all over the place...but the good news was that the flight was only 45 minutes (and we got to meet Gev from SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE). For our second flight we were able to lock...oopps I mean keep Aubrey in her car seat, so she did much better and we could actually relax :)

Memories:

• Watching the girls play together
• Landon and Aubrey "fighting" over toys
• Dress Up
• Dinner at the Winery
• Listening to the girls giggle when they should have been sleeping
• Bride Wars
• 3 hours of uninterrupted girl time at The Olive Garden
• Goose Hunting
• Good quality family time with our sweet friends
• Saturday morning vomit :(
• Makayla split her lip open from jumping on the bed
• Playing in the snow

Sweet Words

As Aubrey and I were walking out of Makayla's room I told Makayla that I loved her...Aubrey followed with "wuv you!" to Makayla too....this is the first time that Aubrey has told her sister that she loves her....awwwww!

So I go and lay Aubrey down in her bed, pray with her and say I love you as I'm zipping her bed shut (that just sounds so funny!) and she responds with a "wuv you" to me....

Oh how my heart just melts at the sound of these two precious words!

I went digging through Makayla's 2T clothes in hopes that I could find some warm items for Colorado...not too successful in that department...but I did find Makayla's old ballerina outfit! Here are some pictures of the girls being ballerina's...too cute for words if you ask me :)
